Healing Through Self-Discovery
Explore your true self through compassionate therapy.
Explore your true self through compassionate therapy.
I work with clients to address the sources of old wounds that disconnect them from their true selves. My psychoanalytically informed, Jungian depth psychotherapy approach helps individuals explore their inner world for profound self-discovery.
We will work together on a shared journey to develop deeper insight and promote long-term change.
Our sessions will be us "thinking and experiencing together" to understand the experiences that have created difficulties in your relationships and internal conflicts that cause you to struggle and doubt your capacity for happiness.
I offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples 18 and up across the lifespan, who are motivated for change and enjoy introspection. I use a collaborative approach to determine the length of therapy based upon the issues you are hoping to address with therapy and my clinical experience.

My couples therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to help you and your partner work through conflict, improve communication, and strengthen your relationship. I am in Imago Relational Training. Imago is a couples therapy modality that emphasizes the importance of adult attachment, similar to early attachment with our caregivers. We have inherited an Imago Couple that is based upon our earliest models of caregivers.
Change is Inevitable, but growth is optional. I will work with you to explore what your next steps will be whether you are dealing with the birth of a child, care for an aging family member, sudden, catastrophic events, unexpected protracted illness, major life transitions, divorce, career change, or whatever has required you to pivot drastically to address your circumstances.
I have advanced training with Post-Partum International (PSI). I can assess and treat mental health issues that arise with pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and/or after childbirth, such as anxiety, depression, and psychosis. Please don't delay treatment, sometimes it is not just the "baby blues" but can be a more serious condition that requires immediate mental treatment.
I have extensive experience working with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In addition to psychotherapy, I use evidenced based treatments, like EMDR, to assist in reprocessing embodied trauma. I also have found dream analysis, expressive arts therapy, and guided imagery useful to assist clients in regulating their emotions when they feel overwhelmed by processing the trauma.
My approach to grief work is to provide a supportive, compassionate space, in addition to my psychoanalytically informed therapy process. Whether spiritual exploration is a part of your life before, death of a loved one, often makes us question the world as we have known it. Existential concerns are especially important to explore as we will work to support you finding meaning in life again.
I am a WPATH Certified Provider. I have completed extensive training with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health in order to support my work with transgender and gender queer adults. I use a psychoanalytic, affirming approach to assist individuals to integrate a gendered experience of the body that is based upon your individualized needs.
Spiritually transformative experiences or non-ordinary states of conscious can be life-changing and alter our perceptions of the vision we have for our life. Alternately, experiences with liminal states, can be unsettling. Either way I work with individuals who are working to integrate transformative experiences that were either sudden or planned for in order to support ongoing interpsychic, transpersonal, and spiritual growth.

It depends upon the type of issues and problems you are bringing to address in therapy. I use an individualized approach that is based upon what you are hoping to achieve with therapy that determines the length.
Generally people feel better after just talking with someone after having to hold on to their problems by themselves. Over time therapy can be experienced as more difficult, as we get closer to the feelings and thoughts that brought you into therapy in the first place. Therapy requires emotional work, which means you may feel uncomfortable at times. We will work together to address the sources of your distress. And we will have an open dialogue about your thoughts and feelings about the therapy process itself.
Yes, please ask me. EMDR can be used in a short-term therapy process to deal with a specific issue, such as a single traumatic event and in a longer term process for individuals with more complex trauma histories. We will decide together if EMDR is something that you would benefit and address the problems you are seeking to address with therapy.
